BRA Day 2013 at UCLA

I’m excited to share with you all that on Wednesday, October 16, I will be speaking at UCLA Health Center’s second annual BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day.

Last year my mom and I attended BRA Day as guests; it really seems like the folks at UCLA are stepping up their game with this year’s event. My mom and I will both be speaking on the panel, along with Dr. Festekjian and the rest of the UCLA plastic surgery crew, Dr. Chang (my mom’s surgical oncologist), and many other doctors from the oncology department and cancer center. This is a great opportunity for women who are considering their options in terms of mastectomy and breast reconstruction to learn about what’s out there. UCLA and the Plastic Surgery Foundation will celebrate the second annual Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day on October 16th, 2013.  BRA Day USA is a chance to educate breast cancer patients, their friends and families, and women considering prophylactic mastectomies about their options for post mastectomy breast reconstruction.
